MCS Division receives safety award

The Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Argonne recently received an award from the National Safety Council for operating 2 million employee hours DART-free from October 20, 2002 to May 14, 2011 and ongoing.

DART (Days Away Restricted Transferred) cases are those that involve days away from work, days of restricted work activity, and/or days of job transfer.

The award was presented by Paul Kearns, deputy laboratory director for Operations and chief operations officer, and Betsy Dunn, director of the Environment, Safety and Quality Assurance division. Rajeev Thakur, MCS deputy division director, accepted the award.
